FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  • How will I decide on a location and time?
My opinion on a location is: the more unique and interesting, the better. I'll help in any way that I can to make your dream backdrop come true. But we better make sure your horse(s) can handle it! If you know they likely wont be able to, then I recommend we schedule your session at the same location where your horse lives to keep them comfortable and lower the chances of any accidents. The time is dependent on the time of year, but I'll always want to schedule the session for around sunset or if absolutely necessary, sunrise. The best lighting is during those times.
  • Are Equine Fine Art portraits included in Horse & Rider sessions?
Included with each collection are Equine Fine Art Portraits, as well as black background images with both horse and rider, if desired.
  • How much is the travel fee?
For sessions within the PNW: Travel up to 400 driving miles round trip from 98802 is covered. Anything over 400 miles round trip will incur an additional mileage-based fee or flat rate, depending on location. For sessions outside of the PNW: Travel outside of the PNW is a flat rate fee of $500. *Travel is included in the collection prices* if applicable, additional travel costs for special circumstances will be discussed before booking.
  • Do you have hair and makeup artist recommendations?
Professional makeup & hair styling is highly recommended for your equestrian session. Let me know in your questionnaire if you'd like recommendations for pros in your area!
  • How do I need to prepare for my session?
Before your session you'll receive an online planning guide that includes several check lists & tips to help you and your horse get ready for your session together. I also have many helpful resourceful blog posts on the blog!
  • When will I receive my images?
No later than four weeks after your session, you'll receive an online gallery with all of your photos. From there, you have the options to download your digital images & purchase products.
